This article explains how to install the latest version of Zoom to run on your computer.

Step-by-step guide

If you are using a Mac, you may need to change some security settings in order to install and run Zoom. Please follow these instructions here before returning here to complete the installation.

  1. Visit the Zoom Download Centre at and download the Zoom Client for Meetings.
  2. The download should start automatically.

    In Chrome, the downloaded file will appear down the bottom left of screen.

    In Firefox, check your Downloads area.
  3. Click the downloaded file. The installation progress will show on screen.
  4. Click Sign In
  5. Click Sign in with SSO, and type flinders-vic . Click Continue.

  6. At the Flinders login page, enter your normal network login and password here.
    NB: If you have already logged into another Flinders website (like Moodle or Google Apps), then you probably won't see this step.
  7. Your browser may prompt you to launch the Zoom application. Choose Open Zoom.
    NB: Some browsers automatically open Zoom without asking.
  8. Congratulations! You have successfully installed Zoom and logged in.
