Background

If you work on a Mac, you need to remember that your teachers will probably be opening your submissions on a Windows PC. This means opening Pages files may be a real problem. To avoid this issue, save your work as a Word document before you submit it.

Step-by-step guide

To save a Pages file as a Word document:

  1. Click File.
  2. Choose Export To.
  3. Select Word
  4. Choose an appropriate file name for your new document.
  5. Click Export.

 

 

If you are working on multiple drafts of a document, take care to save and convert the right version of your files.
